How the tools handle your data

Many Promptbox tools process the information or files you provide in your browser. Some tools, including file transfer and features that send email or perform server-side processing, send the information required to provide that requested service. We use that information to operate the feature and do not sell the files or form content you submit.

Published apps and files

Publishing makes your uploaded content available at a public URL. Apps are hosted on apps.promptbox.cn; documents and media use www.promptbox.cn/publish/. Apps expire 30 days after their last successful change, and single files expire 30 days after upload. Cleanup runs when the publishing endpoint receives a POST request. Keep a local copy and do not upload secrets or private information that should not be public.

The app update token grants permission to replace its files. Keep that token private. The server stores a hashed lookup outside the public web directory. All published apps share browser storage and same-origin access on apps.promptbox.cn, but that storage is separate from localStorage and IndexedDB on www.promptbox.cn and other Promptbox subdomains. Do not store secrets in the shared apps origin. Cookies explicitly scoped to .promptbox.cn can span subdomains, so trusted Promptbox sites should use host-only cookies. See the publishing guide for details.

Advertising on computers

Selected Promptbox pages may load Google AdSense only on desktop-sized, non-mobile devices. Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers, IP addresses, and similar technologies to provide, personalize, measure, and protect advertising. AdSense is blocked by Promptbox on identified phones and tablets and when the browser is narrower than 1100 pixels.

Google explains how it uses information from sites and apps that use its services in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Consent and your choices

Where required, Google’s consent message may ask you to accept, reject, or manage advertising choices before ads are served. You can change Google ad personalization in My Ad Center and restrict or clear cookies through your browser settings.

Browser and service data

Promptbox tools may save preferences, recent values, or working data in local browser storage. Hosting systems may also process standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and time, for reliability and security. You can remove locally stored data through your browser controls.
