How to read this

The server selects the strongest 80% of neurons within each section by spike count; ties use stable neuron order. Only selected nonzero counts are transmitted in a compact binary encoding. In the section grids, excluded and zero-spike neurons stay black. In the retinal view, every mapped location has a faint gray dot; colored firing is drawn over it. Gray means no displayed firing (zero spikes or excluded by selection), not proof of no internal activity. Before the first response, gray shows the map only. Colors show firing rate on one fixed logarithmic 0–500 Hz scale across all sections and frames.

Retinal dots use the model’s inferred image-sampling coordinates, matching the cropped input image. Overlapping retinal dots show the stronger signal. Black gaps between retinal dots have no mapped sample; the projection is incomplete and is not two filled circles. Other sections use stable grids, one 2 × 2 pixel cell per neuron; these positions do not represent anatomical depth. Responses update after each processed input.

Connecting through Hostinger…

The app automatically uses the private API key on Hostinger.

State behavior: Every image, including each Random picture, starts from a fresh brain. All samples from one video share continuous neural state, including after pause and resume, for up to 15 minutes.

The frame rate defines the source timeline. The requested interval is used unless it would produce more than 512 samples; longer videos are sampled evenly across their full duration to stay within one continuous sequence. Each 640 × 480 luminance frame waits for its response. Pause preserves the sequence for Resume; Stop, Clear, changing video sampling, or completing the video releases it. At 512 steps or lease expiry, processing stops and a notice appears; Replay begins a fresh sequence. Pausing does not extend the lease.

Server-selected neuron values are requested only while the activity display is expanded and the server advertises support. Layout coordinates are cached between visits. Collapsing stops rendering and omits snapshots on subsequent runs; an in-progress request finishes normally.
